News : Optus Business Unveils Unified Communications as a Service
March 19, 2014 -- In a bid to target customers who are looking to migrate from a traditional PABX phone system, Optus Business and Singtel have launched Unified Communications as a service (UCaaS) which includes voice, video and messaging.
According to the telco, UCaaS is hosted in data centres in Sydney, Melbourne and Singapore.
Services offered on the UCaaS platform include enterprise telephony, voicemail, unified messaging, video and Web conferencing.
In addition, Optus Business unveiled contact-centre-as-a-service (CCaaS) on Cisco’s hosted collaboration platform at CiscoLive in Melbourne.
Targeted at companies who operate call centres and want to increase online engagement with their customers, CCaaS includes Web chat and email services.
"With CCaaS, customers can shift their current contact centre services across to an enterprise-grad, hosted model that removes the need for up-front infrastructure spend," Paitardis said.
