News : OYSHIA Begins Call Center Test Run Monday

Oyo, Nigeria, May, 2024 - In a bid to move closer to people and improve on its services, the Oyo State Health Insurance Agency (OYSHIA), will on Monday, May 19, commence the test run of its call center.

Executive Secretary of the agency, Dr Sola Akande, disclosed this while featuring on a radio station in Ibadan at the weekend.

"We would be starting the test run of our call center on Monday. We have been on it for a while. Now we are actually going to the physical location of the call center.

"We have a site that we are going to move to on Monday. We have some few people we have trained. At the call center, we have about five platforms; somebody will always pick your number. We have not started 24 hours because it’s a trial but it will open from 8am to 5pm. After 5pm, the call centre will be virtually active.

"Why we are starting the call centre is to better our services, to bring ourselves closer to people It is a place where people can be educated and also lodge complains. The call centre is not toll free for now.
