News : Palike to Set Up Centralised Call Centre
Bengaluru, India, May 5, 2016 -- The Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike will set up a centralised call centre, winding up all the control rooms across its eight zones. The centre will be operational in the next four months.
Planned to be set up on the sixth floor of the annexe building of the BBMP, the centre will receive complaints and suggestions from across the 198 wards of the city and will direct the officials of the ward, division and the zone concerned, accordingly. Complaints pertaining to Bescom, Bangalore Water Supply and Sewerage Board and the Bangalore Development Authority will also be taken up at this centre.
Mayor B N Manjunath Reddy told reporters this will be a state-of-the-art centre where latest technology will be used. Commissioner N Manjunatha Prasad said it will be specially beneficial during rainy season.
