News : Papamoa Contact Centre to Address Low Level Crime
Papamoa, NZ, Sept 29, 2014 -- A police contact centre is being piloted in Papamoa next month to address low level crime.
The contact centre will be based at the Bay of Plenty town's community centre over the next two months.
People can discuss matters of concern, including neighbourhood disputes, domestic disputes, truancy, delinquency and driving concerns.
The centre won't deal with criminal offender or emergency matters.
Police say they intend to increase their visibility and presence in the immediate vicinity of Papamoa.
