News : Partnership Helping People Find New Jobs
Nov 1, 2013 -- A youth and adult learning organisation has answered the call of one of Swindon’s businesses and developed a successful partnership with its contact centre.
TBG Learning Swindon is working with marketing company Jaywing to support its latest recruitment drive at its Peatmoor-based contact centre.
The youth and adult learning organisation has hosted recruitment events at its Minton Place centre on Station Road in partnership with Jaywing, while the company has also hosted site visits to help TBG Learning’s candidates learn all about busy working environments.
Helga Bunch, from TBG Learning Swindon, which is delivering the Government’s Work Programme on behalf of JobFit, said the partnership is proving to be beneficial for both parties, along with jobseekers across the area.
She said: "Jaywing is a success story for Swindon and the company is growing. We’ve worked closely with Julia Whiteley, Jaywing’s people and development director and we’re delighted with the relationship that has developed between both parties. Martyn Neath is among one of the most recent candidates TBG Learning has supported to land a business development executive role at Jaywing.
The 24-year-old, from Royal Wootton Bassett, was referred to TBG Learning after a three month period out of work.
Martyn said: "The team at TBG Learning helped boost my confidence, gave me advice to improve my CV and interview skills and introduced me to Jaywing.
"The contact centre is a good working environment to be part of and I’m really enjoying taking on this new challenge."
