News : Peru OfficeMax Call Center Closing
Ottawa, IL, USA, Feb 26, 2015 -- The OfficeMax Customer Service Center in Peru is closing.
The call center's closure is part of the ongoing Office Depot/Office Max integration efforts, according to spokeswoman Karen Denning.
Customer service representatives affected by the closure will have the opportunity to apply for work-from-home positions with the company's third-party customer service solutions provider or open positions at other Office Depot locations.
"For those who will leave the company, we are committed to helping them with their transition by providing outplacement services and severance," Denning said.
A financial center for the company is in Ottawa.
