News : Peterborough City Council Phone Lines and Email System Out of Action
Peterborough City, UK, Aug 21, 2015 -- Residents were unable to contact Peterborough City Council following a systems failure.
The phone number and the council’s email systems have both been affected.
A council spokesman said the systems would not be back up and running until Monday morning.
He said: "We have been experiencing problems with our phone lines and internet connectivity throughout the day (Friday).
"We have engineers on site working to rectify this.
"These problems have affected the call centre and residents are advised not to call this afternoon.

"We very much expect the call centre to be back in operation from Monday morning.
"For residents that have emailed the council today we expect to receive those when the systems are fully operational, but they will not be read until next week.
"We apologise for any inconvenience caused to residents."
