Leicester, England, Jan 4, 2019 - Plans for new space for more than 1,300 Centrica employees at an historic gas works site in Leicester have been revealed.
Kier Property Developments has drawn up the proposals for a new contact centre alongside a new training and research base at the site in Aylestone Road.
The application, which has been submitted to Leicester City Council for consideration, includes a new 100,000 sq ft contact centre over three floors which would feature a central atrium, staff restaurant, meeting rooms, breakout spaces and office space.

Aylestone Road Chemical Works opened in 1886 with gas production ceasing in 1969.
A statement submitted to the council on behalf of the applicant said: "Keir Property considers this development would be a good option for Centrica should they choose to relocate."
A final decision is due to be made by the city council in the coming months.
