News : Plantronics Expands its Presence in Indonesia
Jakarta, Indonesia, Sept 2, 2014 -- Plantronics, a provider in wearable technology, announces the opening of its representative office in Jakarta, Indonesia. This new office will oversee and support the growing pool of channel partners and customers in Indonesia.
As the fourth most populous country on earth (behind China, India and the United States of America), the population for Indonesia in 2014 is estimated at 253 million. With a growing economy, IT spending in Indonesia is predicted to continue a double digit year-on-year growth to reach $16.5 billion by the end of 2014, according to IDC.
"Indonesia is a robust economy with strong domestic consumption to drive the growth of the contact center market," says Susan Hansen, Vice President of Sales & Marketing, Asia Pacific and Middle East, Plantronics. "As such, we at Plantronics believe it is imperative that we establish a physical presence in Indonesia, to lend dedicated expertise and experience to support our growing channel partners throughout Indonesia, and to serve the ever-growing corporate customers adopting our technology to fuel their business and communications growth."
Plantronics develops its expansion through its channel partners, serving both businesses and consumers in Indonesia. The new representative office in Jakarta will gain technical and customer service support, as well as leadership support from Plantronics’ Southeast Asian team currently present in Singapore, Malaysia and Philippines. Local Indonesian customers will benefit from an efficient local supply chain from Plantronics’ local channel partners.
