Tokyo, Japan and Overland Park, KS, USA, Mar 31, 2017 -- ProPharma Group Inc., an Overland Park-based company, opened a new contact center in Tokyo. The company provides comprehensive compliance solutions to the global pharmaceutical, biotech and medical device industries.
It is the second location to open in the Asia-Pacific region since ProPharma launched its Melbourne, Australia, contact center more than five years ago. Just last year, the Melbourne contact center expanded to meet growth needs.
"Many of our existing regional and global clients have indicated a need for a Japan-based medical information contact center," Mike Burman, ProPharma's vice president of global medical information, said in a statement. "Our growth into this region will allow us to provide a more robust, comprehensive approach to regionalization and globalizing our clients' medical information programs."
The new location, staffed by pharmacists and Ph.D.s, provides medical information and pharmacovigilance — monitoring the effects of a drug after it is licensed for use. ProPharma currently offers support in more than 30 different languages from six global contact centers.
