News : Qualfon Opens BPO in Manila
Manila, Philippines, Aug 5, 2016 -- Based on its new "neighborhood strategy," Qualfon, a global provider of contact center, back-office and business process outsourcing (BPO) services, has opened its fourth facility in the Philippines – its first in Manila.
Qualfon’s 580-seat, 35,000 square foot facility in Paco, Manila, which currently employs 50 people, will have a workforce of up to 1,200 at full capacity, CEO Mike Arrow told reporters.

It’s a true contact-center-in-the-neighborhood, in the heart of the capital city, close to the University of the Philippines Manila and within a couple of miles from 20 other colleges and universities.
The strategy is about putting job opportunities near academic centers and neighborhoods where potential employees study to shave hours off commute times in an urban center where it takes at least an hour to reach the workplace, he explained.
"Already, we have increased agent retention rates and lowered absenteeism, which drives the quality of our customer experience up and brings our costs down," site director Manuel Alcobendas added.
