News : Queensland Government Appoints Interactive Intelligence
Sept 18, 2014 -- The Queensland Government has appointed software firm Interactive Intelligence to its Whole-of-Government ICT Services Panel.
Under the terms of the Interactive Intelligence appointment, Queensland government agencies will be able to procure Interactive Intelligence solutions through the Government Information Technology Contracting Framework for which the company has become an accredited vendor. In addition, Interactive Intelligence has announced its appointment as a supplier of Local Buy, the Local Government Association of Queensland (LGAQ) procurement services company.
Local Buy's core business is contracts: establishing common-use procurement arrangements for councils and local government. While councils and local government authorities are not legally bound to use Local Buy’s services, purchasers using Local Buy arrangements save significant time and money and are fully compliant with the Local Government Act 2009 and the Local Government Regulation 2012 in their procurement activities, according to a company statement. Interactive Intelligence vice-president A/NZ, Brendan Maree, said it was a tremendours accomplishment to be included on the panels in the Australian market.
"Participation in this initiative will provide Queensland agencies at both the state and local level with broad exposure to our contact centre, unified communications and business process management solutions and services," he said.
It also establishes a new management framework for transparent governance of ICT projects and systems
