News : RACV Call Centre Workers' Strike May Cause Delays
Oct 28, 2013 -- Stranded motorists may find their calls are not answered today as RACV call centre workers launch stopwork action.
The roadside assistance call centre staff are in dispute with the RACV over an enterprise bargaining agreement.They have rejected the last pay offer and will now commence a two-hour work ban.
RACV call centre general manager Sandy McIntosh said there would only be minimal disruption to RACV members.
"RACV has been in negotiations with our Roadside Assistance call centre staff over a new enterprise agreement and has put forward a pay offer, which we believe is fair and equitable,'' Mr McIntosh said.
"The employees concerned have rejected this offer and have engaged in industrial action today."
