News : Results to Open New Call Center; Employ 500
Collinsville, VA, USA, Dec 1, 2015 -- The Results Companies announced that it will open a new contact center in Henry County that will employ more than 500 people.
People will be able to apply for jobs during a "hiring event" starting at the center, which is located at 2000 Virginia Ave. in Collinsville, a news release from the company stated. The location is the former StarTek facility.
The company already operates a similar facility in Stuart. The release did not explain whether the Stuart operations are moving to Collinsville or the new facility will be in addition to the Stuart operations.
The release refers to the new contact center – also known as a call center – as being both in Collinsville and Martinsville.
The jobs created in Collinsville are in addition to operations in Stuart, according to Kelley Schorn, director of talent acquisition with Results, and will not replace the Stuart location.
The jobs are being created due to "expansion with existing clients and new clients," according to Schorn, who said the entire company is growing domestically. So far, the company has expanded at three other sites this year, she added.
Mark Heath, president and chief executive officer of the Martinsville-Henry County Economic Development Corp. (EDC), the community’s lead business and industry recruiting organization, said he did not know.

The EDC helped Results "a little bit," Heath said, by providing the company information on potential economic incentives for which it may be eligible if it creates new jobs.
"We’re hopeful this is new growth (in the company) beyond what they have in Stuart," Heath said.
Results may qualify for incentives only if it creates new jobs, he said. Under state rules, companies do not qualify for incentives if they just move jobs from one location to another, he added.
Further information about jobs with the company is available on its website. It did not say what types of jobs will be available or how much the jobs will pay.
