News : Ribbon Cutting Ceremony Announced for StarTek
Myrtle Beach, SC, Oct 8, 2014 -- The ribbon cutting for the StarTek call center in Carolina Forest is scheduled to take place Monday, Oct. 13 at 2 p.m., said Morgan Dendy, spokeswoman for the Myrtle Beach Regional Economic Development Corporation.
The official address of the call center is 310 Henson Drive, Myrtle Beach 29579.
Gov. Nikki Haley, Startek CEO Chad Carlson and Horry County Chair Mark Lazarus are scheduled to attend the ceremony.
The customer support company is set to bring 600 jobs to Horry County.
Job fairs have been held on multiple occasions for Startek.
"We take inbound calls from our customers directly, no outbound calling no telemarketing. A lot of people mistake us for telemarketing but we are the direct opposite," says Kimberly Kinkade, the HR manager for the company.
