
Nairobi, Kenya, Sept, 2017 -- Kenyan operator Safaricom has announced renewed investments in its customer care organisation. Following 2016's announcement of another 600 jobs at its primary call centre in Nairobi, it has begun creating 300 more job opportunities in 2017 to boost customer services.
In 2016, Safaricom 135 customer service desks, to provide subscribers with easier access to essential services. CEO Bob Collymore said it is in the process of deploying intelligent systems to help it better understand customer needs. The planned customer care centre will ease pressure on the existing centre, which is already the biggest in the region.
