News : Samsung Puts Same-day Repair Desks into Retail Stores
May 15, 2014 -- Samsung South Africa has just announced a new agreement with big-box retail store DionWired which will see dedicated Samsung Smart Care Centres in Johannesburg, Cape Town and Durban offering same day repairs for Samsung mobile phones tablets and notebooks.
So called ‘white goods’, including washing machines and fridges will, according to Samsung, now be fixed within 48-hours of logging a call with the Samsung call centre with the call-out service, parts and labour all covered for goods still under the two year warranty period.
"We strive to respond to the needs of our customers’ by continually redesigning their experience of Samsung products and services to ensure we always provide solutions that best meet their requirements," said Richard Chetty, Director of Services at Samsung Electronics SA. "We are confident that these changes will build on our already strong levels of customer satisfaction by ensuring that we continue to respond timeously to our customers’ needs."
The Smart Care Centres will open first in DionWired’s stores in Woodmead, Johannesburg and Kolonnade in Pretoria with a planned national rollout starting in July 2014 to other DionWired stores and select retail stores in South Africa as well.
