Glasgow, Scotland, Oct 14, 2020 -- The Scottish Business Resilience Centre (SBRC), the non-profit organisation working to support Scottish businesses, has hired Mark Cunningham-Dickie as cyber incident and response manager. "However, while larger companies are able to use private security companies to monitor cyber threats, SMEs often struggle with managing such attacks due to their limited resources – and just one attack has the potential bankrupt the organisation.

"I encourage any organisations who believe they have suffered a cyber-attack, are concerned they are at risk of one, or simply want to ensure their defences are up to par, to call."

Jude McCorry, SBRC CEO, added: "Mark’s background includes detecting and assessing vulnerabilities across tens of thousands of devices across Scotland, experience which will surely aid Scottish businesses as they seek to understand and recover from cyber-attacks."

The cyber incident response helpline is run by SBRC in collaboration with Scottish Government and Police Scotland in association with a cadre of security experts around Scotland who can provide onsite assistance as required.
