News : Service NSW Call Centre Expands
Sydney, Australia, Feb 2015 -- More than 18 months after the Service New South Wales Contact Centre opened in Newcastle, it is being expanded to cater for 80 new staff members.
The 24-hour call centre is a one-stop-shop for government transactions, and bolsters the face-to-face services available in Parry Street, Newcastle West.
The first stage of the call centre upgrade will start in the middle of the year, while recruitment is set to take place over the next two years.
Liberal candidate for Newcastle Karen Howard said, once complete, there will be more than 300 customer service representatives at the Newcastle office.
"It is somewhere that people really want to work," she said. "It has a very, very positive vibe.
