News : Sharjah Police Raid Illegal VoIP Operation
Sept 1, 2014 -- The Sharjah Police have arrested 15 Asian men for illegally selling cheap calls made through the internet and hiding the equipment in their accommodation in Sharjah.
According to Gulf News, the CID at Sharjah Police formed a team after receiving a tip-off that the 15 Asian men had transformed their accommodations into an illegal call centre by breaking into phone systems. The police team raided the location and found that they were operating without a licence.
The suspects were arrested on 29 August.
