News : ShoreTel Joins WSCA-NASPO Cooperative Purchasing Organization
Sunnyvale, Calif., June 16, 2014 -- ShoreTel, a provider of phone systems and unified communications (UC) solutions, announces it has earned a place in the WSCA-NASPO Cooperative Data Communications Products & Services Contract in the category of Unified Communications. WSCA-NASPO is a public sector cooperative purchasing organization in the nation, and this achievement enables ShoreTel to expand its presence in the public market, primarily in the government and education verticals.
"ShoreTel has built a large roster of state and local government , and K-12 and higher education customers," said David Petts, senior vice president of worldwide sales at ShoreTel. "The WSCA-NASPO contract allows us to expand and grow our presence in these sectors and is another step in our vertical market commitment, which has seen a focused sales effort this year. WSCA-NASPO gives us and our channel partners a broader national presence and many opportunities that we didn't have before."
NASPO is a nonprofit association of directors of the central purchasing offices in each of the 50 states, the District of Columbia and the territories of the United States. WSCA-NASPO represents a unified, nationally focused cooperative purchasing program that is a subsidiary of NASPO. Those eligible to use WSCA-NASPO cooperative contracts are states, cities, counties, public schools, institutions of higher education and other eligible entities such as nonprofits.
