News : Sitel Signs Pompano Beach Lease for Call Center
Pompano Beach, FL, USA, Aug 17, 2015 -- Sitel, a global customer support company, has signed an office lease for 114,000 square feet in Pompano Beach as part of an expansion that will create 350 immediate jobs and 1,000 over the next year.
The firm will open a call center at the Pompano Business Center, 2500 NW 19th St., according to Cushman & Wakefield, which represented the building's owner, JP Morgan.
Sitel is working quickly and hopes to open the call center next month, said John K. Criddle, a broker for Cushman.
"They were hiring people as we were finishing up negotiating the deal," he said.

The facility previously was used as a call center for Aetna Health Insurance. Sitel originally planned to take 86,000 square feet but ultimately decided it needed more space, Criddle said.
Nashville, Tenn.-based Sitel is expanding across Florida. It hired 700 employees in Lake City and plans to add 300 people in Ocala. Company officials did not return phone calls Monday.
