Amherst, NY, USA, June 28, 2023 – Spectrum announced the opening of a new Spectrum Mobile™ customer service call center in Amherst, which will create 400 new local customer service positions.
The new 88,000-square-foot call center is located at 3920 Main St. in Amherst. Representatives provide comprehensive technical support to Spectrum Mobile customers from throughout the company’s 41-state service area, ranging from new device activation to answering customer questions about mobile features. Interested candidates can apply for these new Spectrum Mobile call center roles at Spectrum’s Careers site. Spectrum’s customer service call center in Cheektowaga’s Appletree Business Park will continue its focus on support for Spectrum TV(R).
"In addition to the speed and savings delivered by Spectrum Mobile, we are committed to providing an exceptional customer experience through in-house, on-shore customer service operations such as our new center here in Amherst," said Greg McMichael, Senior Vice President, Customer Service at Charter Communications, Inc., which operates the Spectrum brand of connectivity products and services. "We are expanding on our decades-long presence in Western New York, as the Buffalo area offers an outstanding pool of talented and hard-working individuals eager to build a great career at Spectrum."

The new center joins the company’s four other Mobile Repair and Activation sites in Austin, Texas; Garfield Heights, Ohio; Kansas City, Missouri; and St. Petersburg, Florida.
"We are thrilled to welcome new business to the Town of Amherst — especially this one," said Town of Amherst Director of Economic Development Angela Rossi. "Not only will Spectrum’s investment in our community bring 400 new jobs and contribute to the growth of our local economy, but these are the kind of jobs that have a meaningful impact on working families and young people who are starting out their careers. We are grateful to Spectrum for recognizing that Amherst is open for business and look forward to successful future together."
Minimum Starting Wage of $20 an Hour, Plus Robust Benefits
