El Paso, TX, USA, June, 2021 -- Charter Communications, which operates Spectrum Internet, Cable TV, and Phone Service, plans to add 929 new jobs at two El Paso call centers, according to city of El Paso information.
According to a pending economic development agreement with the city, the jobs are to pay an average of $20.40 per hour at two East Side call centers.
City Council is scheduled to vote Monday on approving the agreement with Charter, based in Connecticut.
The Borderplex Alliance, the El Paso area economic development organization, and city and county officials are scheduled to make a jobs announcement at a noon press conference Monday.
The jobs are to be added over two years at call centersat 8460 Gran Vista Drive and 11950 Don Haskins Drive in East El Paso.
The city is to provide $309,168 in tax rebates and other incentives to the company for the expansion.
