News : StarTek Schedules First Job Fair for New Hamilton Call Center
Hamilton, OH, April 6. 2015 -- The call center company planning to open a new location this year in Hamilton, and create nearly 700 new jobs, has scheduled a career fair.
StarTek Inc. will hold the career fair in downtown Hamilton, according to the company’s Facebook page. It will take place in the lobby of the former Fifth Third building, according to the city.
The company says it’s looking for people with passion, whether job applicants are gamers, guitarists or avid readers.
"We hire people with an enthusiasm and dedication for things they do in their lives, because we believe those same passions are the makings of a great Brand Warrior," according to the company’s post promoting the upcoming hiring event.
StarTek officials will conduct onsite interviews for customer service and technical support positions.

Colorado-based StarTek plans to open the Hamilton call center later this year after renovations in the former Elder-Beerman building at 150 High St. City officials announced the new business opening on Feb. 23.
The new call center is expected to create approximately 682 new jobs in downtown Hamilton.
Plans call for StarTek to fill about 40,200 square feet of space currently sitting empty in the four-story downtown Hamilton building, according to the director of the CORE Fund, the nonprofit investment fund that owns the property.
Construction is set to start on renovations to the former Elder-Beerman building for new tenants including StarTek, Joslin Diabetes Center at Fort Hamilton Hospital, Jackson Market and Deli, and Butler County Board of Developmental Disabilities art initiative InsideOut Studio, said CORE Fund Executive Director Mike Dingeldein.
