News : State Says Call Center Opening in Lexington Will Bring New Jobs
Frankfort, KY, USA, July, 2019 -- A new call center is coming to Lexington and the state says it’s expected to add hundreds of new jobs to the area.
Faneuil Inc., a national customer service outsourcing company headquartered in Hampton, Virginia, says it plans to lease a building at 1500 Aristides Boulevard in Lexington.
Company leaders say they aim to steadily increase recruiting to employ approximately 200 people this year, potentially growing to 450 by the close of 2021.
In July, the Kentucky Economic Development Finance Authority preliminarily approved the company for tax incentives up to $1.5 million through the Kentucky Business Investment program. The performance-based incentive allows a company to keep a portion of the new tax revenue it generates over the agreement term through corporate income tax credits and wage assessments by meeting job and investment targets.
In addition, Faneuil can receive resources from the Kentucky Skills Network. Through the Kentucky Skills Network, companies can receive no-cost recruitment and job placement services, reduced-cost customized training and job training incentives.
