News : Stefanini Announces New Cooperation with Israel’s Rafael
São Paulo, April 2016 -- Stefanini, a global provider of business solutions technology, plans to create a joint venture in Brazil with Israeli defense company, Rafael. The joint venture new teaming will offer a set of solutions to fight cybercrime and terror as well as advanced intelligence solutions. The official announcement was made during the LAAD Security fair, held from April 12 to 14 at Riocentro, in Rio de Janeiro.
Mr. Carlos Alberto Costa, to be appointed as joint venture’s general director, said that in addition to providing security of technology infrastructure and information, the joint venture solutions will focus on the security of industrial automation, especially now that the Internet of Things (IoT) has been highlighted by international consulting firms as one of the major technological trends for 2016, creating the necessity for new security architectures to identify, respond, block, and counterattack intrusion attempts against corporate systems.

In addition to cyber security solutions, this joint venture will bring to Brazil advanced intelligence solutions to deal with the challenge of exploiting enormous amounts of data. This data exploitation will contribute to police investigations, adding intelligence to the investigative process, including the possibility of automating some tasks and using big data for detailed analysis of any evidence collected; advanced systems of digital image monitoring, which can be used in various sectors: in agribusiness, forestry monitoring; dams control, pipelines, electricity and other transmission lines, for municipal purposes and more.

The overall transaction is still subject to the prior approval of authorities in Brazil and Israel.
