News : Telus International Planning to Hire Staff
Sept 4, 2014 -- European arm of Canadian outsourcing services provider Telus International, the former CallPoint hired so far for its Romanian operations over 100 professionals in the last year and plans to double the personnel by 2018, according to Gregoire Vigroux, marketing director for Europe.
According to the representative, the company's turnover increased by 25 per cent in the last year, with more than a doubled team, from 199 to 415 collaborators. The increase resulted from several new gained contracts, for clients operating in telecom and financial-banking sector.
At the beginning of this year, CallPoint powered by Telus, with operations in Romania, rebranded as Telus International Europe, which will be led by Xavier Marcenac.
According to Jeffrey Puritt, president of global group Telus International, the company team in Europe offers services in over 30 languages. Telus International Europe, a multilingual call-center and BPO (business process outsourcing) company, started its activity in 2004.
The company has over 1,200 employees in its 4 centers, two of them in Romania (in Bucharest and Craiova), and two in Bulgaria (in Sophia and Plodviv). Telus International Europe has more than 1,200 employees in Europe and plans to expand the team this year and reach 4,000 employees by 2017.
