News : Striking 10111 Workers Give Zuma Deadline to Respond to Grievances
Johannesburg, South Africa, Oct 17, 2017 -- Striking 10111 call centre operators have given President Jacob Zuma seven days to respond to their grievances.
The South African Policing Union (Sapu) led a march on the Union Buildings on Monday where they handed over a memorandum.

The call centre workers have been on strike since July over a salary hike dispute.
Bethuel Nkuna, a representative for the strikers, has demanded that the president take their grievances seriously.
"We demand the implementation of that memorandum. We don’t care about the act because it is not the act that saves us."
While the ‘no work, no pay’ clause continues, the workers say they will not be distracted from achieving their goal.
