News : Tele2 Lithuania Drops Telemarketing
June 2, 2014 -- Mobile operator Tele2 Lithuania announced that it plans to stop using telemarketing.
The call-centre staff have used telemarketing by calling randomly generated phone numbers and then seeking the customer's permission over the phone. However, following clarification from regulations, the operator decided it could no longer use the practice.
Regulations require that permission from the customer is secured before making the call.
