News : Telerx to Create Nearly 160 New Full-time Jobs
KINGS MOUNTAIN, Oct. 17, 2013 -- Telerx, an employer in Kings Mountain, has announced it will create nearly 160 new full-time jobs by the end of January.
The Horsham, Pa.-based company is hiring for a number of positions including call center agents, supervisors, managers and trainers.
Several of the positions are geared toward applicants with healthcare expertise such as nurse practitioners and pharmacists. The duties include customer service, and processing orders, while those who specialize in healthcare will assist patients with questions about medications, drug safety and provide ongoing patient support.
Last year, Telerx had to eliminate about 50 positions in response to business conditions, but company officials said the current round of hiring will more than replace the total number of positions previously lost.
"We love our community," said DoLapo Erinkitola, Telerx vice president, site operations. "We want to continue to grow and make a positive impact to the Charlotte area."
Telerx opened its Kings Mountain facility five years ago in the Cleveland County Business Park. Currently, there are more than 300 employees and the center operates 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
Special Projects Manager David Dear with the Cleveland County Economic Development Partnership called Telerx a "great corporate citizen."
"They’ve had some ups and downs the last few years," he said. "But we’re very happy to see them on the upside again."
