News : Tennessee Firm Locates Call Center Jobs in Nevada
Las Vegas, May 27, 2014 -- A Tennessee technology services company is expanding to Nevada, creating up to 800 jobs within five years.
Nashville-based Asurion LLC replaces lost, stolen and damaged cellphones and other technology devices.
The Las Vegas Review-Journal reports that the company plans to open a call center in northwest Las Vegas in the next few months. Asurion's director of public policy and economic development, Paul Fassbender, says Nevada's business-friendly environment caught the company's attention.
The board of directors for the Governor's Office of Economic Development approved tax incentives for the company earlier this year.
Representatives of Asurion say 500 people will be hired for the call center during the first year of operation.
