Thames Valley, UK, Aug, 2020 -- A police call operator may have been slightly baffled over a 999 call they received at the weekend.
Thames Valley Police call centre is inundated with reports of serious crimes and life or death situations.
But something strange happened over the weekend.
This one call tops the lot and has sparked the police to remind residents to think before they dial the emergency services phone lines.
They tweeted: "Scenario: you’re a police call handler. One minute you’re helping someone in a serious life or death situation.
"The next, you’re dealing with this..."
The picture in the tweet explains how a woman called 999 to report that her "parcels had been delivered to the wrong address".
The tweet added: "Calls like this can block the line for people who need emergency assistance. Please #ThinkBeforeYouDial"
