News : The UK's ‘Worst’ Mobile Phone Providers Have Been Revealed

London, UK, April 18, 2016 -- It seems all those clever adverts can't save you from a bad signal.

Thousands of phone users have ranked EE and Vodafone as the worst phone providers in the UK.

A consumer survey from Which? asked the public to rank mobile providers "on ease of contact & value for money" and the two companies, which enjoy the lion's share of the phone market in the UK, came bottom.

The most favourable firm? Mobile provider GiffGaff.

This is the second year in a row Vodafone & EE have come bottom of a Which? customer service poll that was topped by GiffGaff.

Speaking about the poll results to the BBC, Alex Neill, director of campaigns and communications for Which? said,"Our latest survey once again shows that the major mobile providers are still failing on the basics of customer service.

"Telecoms are an essential part of modern life and so providers need to start delivering for their customers," Neill added.

Both Vodafone and EE were quick to respond to the poll, promising users better customer service in future.

A Vodafone spokesperson apologised for how "frustrating" things must be for customers when things go wrong, adding: "Due to new processes we have put into place, helped by significant additional call centre resources, we believe that customers will see improvements over the coming months.

Over to EE, and they stressed a move to UK call centre will help shoulder the efforts of their customer service team. A spokesperson said "We’ve returned over a thousand service jobs to the UK, and have cut our customer complaints in half over the last year to outperform the industry average."
