News : TMone Call Center Should Have New Home
SPEARFISH, Oct 11, 2013 -- When Winter Storm Atlas shrugged and piled snow so high last weekend that it collapsed the city-owned structure housing TMone’s call center, it sent city officials and company management scurrying for a new building for 225 local employees.
A week after the blizzard abated, city and company officials announced Friday that TMone’s Spearfish operations would be back online Monday morning in temporary quarters at the city’s Recreation Center.
"It has been a team effort," said Bryan Walker, executive director of the Spearfish Economic Development Corp. "TMone representatives have been out here working hard to keep their employees informed and the City Council has been nothing short of incredible by being helpful and responsive, assisted by economic development in a supporting role."
Installation of fiber-optic cable leading to the Rec Center’s 18,000-square-foot Pioneer Room was completed Thursday, said TMone Spearfish Center Director Catrina Rodgers.
On Friday morning, TMone’s management team was off-loading and setting up 240 computer work stations, she said.
"Throughout the weekend, we’ll be completing set-up and configuration of our systems and we’ll be dialing up and have operations up and running at full capacity Monday morning," Rodgers said. "All of our employees have been informed of this and have been kept abreast of developments this week via an employee hotline as well as through text messages, emails and phone calls."
"We’re very excited to begin the transition to this new facility and we’re extremely grateful to Spearfish Economic Development and the Spearfish City Council for their support," she said.
