News : Towers Watson Bringing 400 Jobs to South Jersey
June 24, 2014 -- International consulting firm Towers Watson said it will bring 400 jobs to South Jersey over the next two years with the opening of a call center in Mount Laurel this month.
The benefit-operation and customer-service center will support Towers Watson’s benefits administration services and its private health insurance exchange, OneExchange, with an emphasis on serving full-time, active employees.
In a statement, Frank Giampietro, managing consultant of Towers Watson’s Philadelphia office, said the new facility will be the only Towers Watson call center on the East Coast.
Philadelphia is one of the biggest markets for Towers Watson. Before the 2009 merger between Towers Perrin Forster & Crosby and Watson Wyatt Worldwide, Towers Perrin had been headquartered here until relocating to Connecticut to accommodate its CEO.
Towers Watson (NYSE, NASDAQ) is the 57th largest employer in the Philadelphia region with 1,100 of its 14,000 total employees (who are spread over 114 locations) based in its two local offices in Center City and Berwyn. It is the largest provider of employee benefit consulting services in the region and also offers consulting services in talent management, rewards, and risk and capital management.
