News : Training Underway to Man E-agric Multi-directorate Call Centres
Accra, Ghana, March 17, 2015 -- Stakeholders and Agriculturalists from the ten regions are undergoing a technical training in Accra to build their capacity and man the three E-agriculture multi-directorate call centres to provide advisory and extension services to farmers.
The call centres have been established in Accra, Kumasi and Tamale to serve as support base to farmers beyond the public extension system.
Issues concerning agriculture and allied sectors which will be raised by callers will be addressed instantly by these trained technical officers from the Ministry of Food and Agriculture in selected local languages.
Any stakeholder within the agricultural sub sector may contact the call centre by dialing toll free number 1848 via MTN.
