News : TransPerfect to Open Costa Rica Contact Center; Hiring 120 New Employees
San José, Costa Rica, May 2, 2017 -- TransPerfect, a privately held provider of translation services and technology solutions for global business, announced the opening of a new contact center in Costa Rica. The facility will seat 120 new employees, most of whom are expected to be new hires from the greater San José area.
The decision to establish a presence here was due to Costa Rica’s impressive reputation in the sector as well as its economic stability, a trait that has led to it having one of the highest rates of foreign direct investment per capita in Latin America.

The new facility is designed to provide an optimal work environment for interpretation and communications with active acoustic technology, break room amenities, and secure entry. TransPerfect will begin hiring at a pace of 20 interpreters per month, all of whom will be thoroughly trained and then responsible for servicing the company’s portfolio of international clients. TransPerfect provides competitive wages and benefits, and the company is actively seeking applicants with high-level English and Spanish skills and who can easily switch between languages.
