News : TriWest Opens New Call Center, Focuses on Veterans
Nashville, TN, USA, Oct 5, 2015 -- TriWest Healthcare Alliance opened its new Nashville operations center Monday morning, which had a special focus on healthcare for veterans.
The center was built as a traditional call center, but to also serve veterans by making it easier for them to have their medical needs met.
The center will serve veterans in 28 states. Its key functions will include: processing health care authorizations approved by VA, inbound and outbound telephone correspondence with veterans and health care providers, as well as scheduling appointments by phone.
TriWest will be working closely with the Department of Veterans Affairs to make sure all of that happens.
While the Nashville location will provide services to veterans in more than 20 states, local service members stressed just how many local residents will be impacted by its services.

"We have over 14,000 Tennessee Air and Army National Guardsmen. In deployments, we're the 4th largest Guard state. We've deployed over 29,000 Tennessee Air and Army National Guardsmen since 9/11. So each one of those members are recipients of your future efforts," said Major General, Max Haston with the Tennessee National Guard.
The service center's grand opening also coincided with the first day of National Customer Service Appreciation Week.
