News : TS Sets Up Toll-free Consumer Helpline
Hyderabad, India, Sept 29, 2015 -- The Civil Supplies Department has established a new consumer helpline with a toll-free number to protect their rights by strengthening the redressal mechanism and encouraging their participation in consumer voluntary organisations.
Commissioner of Civil Supplies Rajat Kumar said in a statement that the new helpline was established to enable consumers make complaints and seek advice, guidance and information relating to all departments in the State on any working day between 10.30 a.m. and 5 p.m. They could seek information in Telugu, Hindi and English.

The helpline was developed with the assistance of Government of India and the Indian Institute of Public Administration (IIPA) using an advanced IT-platform, Mr. Rajat Kumar stated. It would serve as e-source centre in future at State level and would be networked with the National Resource Centre.
