News : Tuensang Police Announces Dedicated ‘Helpline’ for Emergency & Other Assistance

Tuensang, India, March 2, 2021 -- The Tuensang Police on March 2 announced a new initiative called "Tuensang 24*7" with a dedicated helpline number touted as "Your New Companion" for "any emergency/need for assistance."

"Police at your service 24*7. Happy to announce our new initiative- Tuensang 24*7," updated the Tuensang Police’s official Facebook Page on Tuesday.

A photo shared along with the update informed that a new mobile number – 708546818 was assigned as the "dedicated WhatsApp/Calling number of the Tuensang Police."

"A resident of Tuensang Town may contact us through WhatsApp/Call in case of any emergency/need of assistance," it said.

As soon as a WhatsApp or call is received, the Control Room team would "rush to the place of occurrence," it added.
The Control Room is being monitored by the Sub Divisional Police Officer (SDPO) under the supervision of the District Superintendent of Police, the update further stated.

Further details regarding the type of emergency or assistance were not provided.

When contacted, an officer informed that district police will soon come out with a detailed report on the new initiative.
