New Delhi, India, May 26, 2020 -- University Grants Commission (UGC) has created an e-cell for online grievance redressal of students related to exams and other academic activities.
This was announced by the official Twitter handle of Digital India via a post on the microblogging site. Students, teachers as well as institutions can call 011-23236374 to get their queries addressed. They can also write to ‘email@example.com’.
As per a public notice (dated May 10) issued by the UGC, students can also lodge complaints on the commission’s existing online students grievance redressal portal. Additionally, it has also created a task force to monitor the concerns/grievances of students, teachers and institutions to redress them accordingly.
In a related news, the ministry of human and resource development (MoHRD) recently launched an artificial intelligence-powered mobile app for the aspirants of NEET, JEE Main and other competitive exams. Called the National Test Abhyas, the app seeks to enable students to take mock tests for upcoming exams falling under the purview of National Testing Agency (NTA). Developed by NTA, the app seeks to facilitate candidates’ access to high-quality mock tests without stepping out in the times of covid-19. The mock tests can be accessed for free. Students can download these tests and complete them offline. Currently, the app works on Android-based smartphones and tablets but will be available on iOS soon.
