News : Unilever to Lay Off Call Center Workers in Englewood Cliffs
Englewood Cliffs, NJ, USA, April 26, 2016 -- More than 100 call center workers in Englewood Cliffs will lose their jobs June.
Unilever announced that it would close call centers in Englewood Cliffs and New Brunswick, Canada.
The company's North American call center services will be taken over by third-party organizations in Orlando and Winnipeg, Canada, Unilever said in a statement sent to NJ Advance Media. The transition should be complete by September.
A total of 106 employees will be laid off by June 30, Unilever said in a notice to the state Department of Labor and Workforce Development. The workers will be paid for any unused vacation days, receive severance and be offered job placement services.
