News : UP Government Railway Police Starts Helpline Numbers
Kanpur, India, Nov 17, 2015 -- Three toll-free helpline numbers have been launched by the Government Railway Police (GRP) in the state for issues pertaining to safety of passengers from Kanpur.
The new helpline numbers- 7570009251, 7570009252, 7570009253- are to facilitate the Railway passengers traveling from Kanpur to Delhi for issues related to safety, security and crime in Railways, GRP incharge Tripuraru Pandey said.
These numbers have been launched in Swarn Shatabdi Express, Shramshkati Express and Tufan Express and are set to be launched in Ajmer Siyaldah train by the end of this month.
The GRP team will lodge an FIR whenever a passenger faces any safety-related problem, he said.
A control room in Kanpur railway station with helpline number- 1512, is also planned, Pandey added.
