Lucknow, India, Feb, 2018 -- The state government is all set to launch ‘CM Helpline 1076’, which will enable people from across UP to register their complaints.
To make this service run smoothly, a 1,500-seater call centre is coming up at Gomti Nagar. Initially, it would have 500 call takers and gradually it would work at full capacity.
Among many objectives behind this 24x7 helpline is to make sure that people do not have to come down to Lucknow to lodge their complaints.

This helpline was conceptualised after one of the Janta Darbars at the official residence of the chief minister expressed concern over people coming from across the state to get their problems solved, which should have been addressed in their respective districts itself.
All calls to this number related to women’s issues and crime would be diverted to 1090 and UP 100 respectively. For noting down complaints, a software having all categories of complaints has been developed. An attendant at the call centre would note down the complaint and forward it to department concerned for redressal.
The complainant would also get an SMS informing him/her that the complaint has been sent to the department concerned.
"A proper follow-up of the complaint will be done to make sure it is redressed and the complainant will be duly informed on his cell phone number about it," Sanjeev Saran, principal secretary, IT and electronics, informed newsmen.
"If a complaint is not redressed at the first level, it will be transferred to a senior. Suppose a block development officer is not able to address a complaint, it will be transferred to his superior, district development officer," added Saran.
Two helplines, 1090 (women’s helpline) and UP 100 (an emergency number) launched by former chief minister Akhilesh Yadav are already operational in the state.
Like 1090 and UP 100, the ‘CM Helpline 1076’ would be an added service for people of the state.
