News : Urgent Care Provider Creates 70 jobs in Newcastle
Newcastle, UK, July 1, 2016 -- Newcastle-based Vocare, a GP out-of-hours and urgent care providers in the UK, is set to create 70 new jobs in Newcastle thanks to a series of new contract wins.
The jobs created will be across various roles, including nurses and paramedics, and will bolster the company’s North East call centre operations following new contract wins in London and the South West.
The London contracts are to run the urgent care centre at St Mary’s Hospital in Paddington and an integrated urgent care service, combining NHS 111 and out-of-hours services, in south west London. The South West Contract is to run the NHS 111 service in Devon.
John Harrison, chief executive of The Vocare Group, said: "Vocare has experienced a period of sustained growth recently by offering enhanced quality services that offer good value for money to the NHS and the public. Our expansion into London is very significant and gives us a truly nationwide presence.
"We are already looking wider at further opportunities for growth through diversification and will soon be looking for investment to help us realise our aims.
"Our focus continues to be to improve access to urgent healthcare and to relieve the strain on accident and emergency departments. In order to do this successfully, we are working in close collaboration with Clinical Commissioning Groups (CCGs) and local healthcare providers to deliver a quality service to patients.
