News : Verizon Wireless to Add 300 Jobs at Henrietta Site
Dec 31, 2014 -- Verizon Wireless Inc. has increased its local hiring targets for 2015 and plans to adding more than 300 full-time customer service and technical support positions at its Henrietta-based call center.
The positions are on top of more than 300 new hires in the call center in 2014.
The company—a wholly owned subsidiary of Verizon Communications Inc.—is slated to hold an open house for applicants at its regional headquarters at 133 Calkins Road.
Customer service reps handle inbound customer calls, explain the company’s products and services, and research and resolve billing questions.
Technical support reps provide technical support for customers, troubleshoot hardware and software issues, identify network and application issues, provide product/service set-up and support, assist with billing issues, and research and resolve other technical issues.
