News : Vodafone Germany Adds New Customer Service Channels
Sept 4, 2014 -- Vodafone has added new customer services. These include the 'Vodafone Service Friends', where customers will get personal service in their homes to configure their networks and hardware.
Customers can request the support from independent experts on the new vodafone site, set up with Swiss start-up Mila. Certified by Vodafone and rated according to quality, the Friends experts were launched first in Berlin and already count 60 technicians. It will be launched in further cities in the near future.
Vodafone is also providing more advice in shops, with specially trained expects giving uncomplicated over-the-counter support. By the end of October the number of experts will increase to 400. In addition to its call centre and MyVodafone app, the operator also provides customer support over Facebook and a new Twitter channel available 24-7.
Late this year, it will also introduce a remote video service. The caller can see the customer service team member, but the customer service cannot see the customer. If the problem is more complex, the customer can share the smartphone display with the customer advisor so that both see the same content and the customer advisor can guide the customer through the procedure with visual markers. If the customer wishes, the customer adviser can perform the procedure remotely. The video service and remote maintenance will be introduced in December, initially for Black and Premium customers.
