News : Vodafone Sets Up Call Center in Rural Rajasthan
Rajasthan, India, Dec 4, 2015 -- Telecom network operator Vodafone India has set up a call center at Jobner in rural Rajasthan offering job opportunities to local people.
The strategy of Vodafone India is to enhance mobile users experience by allowing them to talk to a call center agent who can also understand and speak in their local language Marwari. This apart, Vodafone India, which has a strong rural presence in India, can create empolyment in rural telecom markets.
The company has completed the recruitment of 25 people from Jobner and surrounding villages. The mobile operator aims to hire 100 employees over the coming six months creating additional job opportunities to rural people.

"We believe these employees will also be better equipped to understand and serve the needs of our customers in the state by interacting with customers in their Marwari local language as well," said Amit Bedi, business head – Rajasthan, Vodafone India.
