News : Vodafone Staff 'Let Down' in Stoke-on-Trent Call Centre Shake-Up

Stoke-on-Trent, UK, June, 2023 - Communications provider Vodafone has announced a shake-up of its Stoke-on-Trent call centre operations - leaving affected staff feeling 'let down'. The company has told employees at its Festival Park office that some of them will no longer work for Vodafone from August. 1.

The change will see their jobs transferred to Webhelp. But StokeonTrentLive has been told that there will be no redundancies and affected staff will have to move - or potentially lose their jobs.

One affected worker said: "We have been informed that from 1 August we will no longer be under Vodafone and that our department will now work for Webhelp. There will be no redundancy - we go or we will need to hand in our notice. Many of these people have worked for Vodafone for many years and feel very let down."

A Vodafone spokesman said: "We are currently restructuring our specialist care teams to make sure we can offer our customers the best service possible. As part of this we are moving a number of roles from our internal teams to our strategic partner, Webhelp. We can confirm no roles have been made redundant and roles are available across the business for individuals who wish to apply and stay with us."
